Abstract

One of the alternative innovative funding schemes including risk transfer for natural disaster in Indonesia that can be reviewed and utilized in the future is from the Company. The Company is obliged to carry out Social and Environmental Responsibility which is one of the corporate social responsibility (CSR). The purpose of the research was to raise awareness of the importance of CSR for the Company, and to formulate the utilization of CSR as an alternative to innovative funding schemes including risk transfer for natural disaster management in Indonesia. In order for CSR to be known by various parties and can be used as an alternative innovative funding scheme including risk transfer for natural disaster management in Indonesia, there are several proposals that can be submitted, including: 1) Conducting socialization in the form of seminars / workshops / dissemination / advertising of public services (both above the line / ATL and below the line / BTL) on the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 24 Year 2007 on Disaster Management, Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 22 Year 2008 on Funding and Management of Disaster assistance, and legislation related to the implementation of social and environmental responsibilities; 2) conduct technical guidance to the Board of Directors when drawing up the required annual environmental management work plan in accordance with applicable laws and regulations; 3) supervise the implementation of the above proposals and encourage progress and appreciation; 4) conduct a series of in-depth study activities on the formulation of the Draft Law on CSR; 5) for other Ministries/Institutions to make proper awards for business institutions with assessment indicators focusing on providing funds for natural disaster management in Indonesia; and 6) build and optimize Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to record and monitor the acceptance and utilization of CSR with feedback submitted to the President.
