Kepemerintahan Bencana di Sumatera Barat

Abstract

If Indonesia is called with the methapor of “Laboratory and Hypermarket of world’s disaster”, West Sumatera is entitled with “the Supermarket of Disaster”. The humanitarian aids in every disaster in West Sumatera involving the role of multi-actors, such as states and non states actors, varied from national to international level. This article aims to describe the formation of disaster management in West Sumatera which employ Disaster Governance as its concept. Disaster Governance is a concept that explains the complexity of decision making process toward disaster management which engages various form of interaction in humanitarian network. To summarize, this concept describes the partnertship among stakeholders, including societies that coloring with the coordination among actors in their actions.
